To examine for human blood crystals a drop of blood, or suspected fluid, is put on a slide and mixed with a minute quantity of decomposed pericardial fluid. Some fluid is always kept iu hand in a well-corked phial. Care must be taken in removing the fluid from the pericardial sac that no blood is taken up with it.
